Walk in Truth

It is our duty to respect all authority either at home or at church. We must honor and obey those that have been called of
God. We must support them in church and sustain. Russel M. Nielson said, "The kingdom of God is governed by
the authority of the priesthood. It is not conferred for honor, but for a ministry of service. Priesthood titles are not
created by man; neither are they for adornment, nor do they express mastership. They denote appointment to
service in the work of the Lord".
I love this quote because it teaches us how the kingdom of God is governed by the authority of the priesthood.
The Lord calls chosen ones to lead the church today!

I am so grateful for the power of the priesthood in my life.
The priesthood is the ability for men to act in Gods name and to achieve His work here on earth.
The priesthood is an act of service and can not be used for selfish desires or be used if unworthy.
I know that miracles still exists today and that by the power of the priesthood, the great work of God
is moving forward in these last days.

Be Doers of the World

How can we better live the gospel of Jesus Christ?

In James 1 talks about how we should be doers of the world and not hearers only. There are many ways we can better live the gospel in our lives. Some ways we can do this is by:

Loving our neighbors (everyone)
Family Prayer
Sharing the gospel
Serve others
Performing your calling
Home teaching/Visiting teaching

If we try to do the above things we will not only be blessed but we will be "doers".

Obedience

"Cling to the church. If you will do so it will become as an anchor in the midst of a stormy sea. It will be a light to your lives and a foundation upon which to build them." Gordon B. Hinckley

I love that quote for one reason, it testifies that when we are obedient we will be greatly blessed. If we cling to the church, it will become an anchor in a stormy sea. We need to be obedient in church attendance, prayer, reading scriptures, and keeping the commandments. We need to make these a priority in our lives. “If you keep my commandments and endure to the end you shall have eternal life, which gift is the greatest of all the gifts of God” This a great blessing that comes from being obedient. Jesus Christ was the sublime example of obedience to our Heavenly Father. We too must follow his example.
